The Hull Folk and Maritime Festival always likes to offer something a little different – and the roots of blues music share some common threads with those of folk and traditional.

Bringing a mix of trad blues and late British blues rock-influenced covers and originals, Dom and his DTs are a ramshackle bunch of new and old heads of the Hull music scene, joining each other on stage to share a common love of 12 bars.

Now becoming a veteran of the local scene, Dom Abbott (James Dean Syndrome, Black Delta Movement, Backroom Blues) plays the blues – and his DTs are whoever wants to play along.

Expect to hear the odd polished song alongside some good old fashioned improv!
